6th November – Punyatithi Karyakram

The sixth of November marks the death anniversary of our beloved guru Vd. M. V. Kolhatkar sir. On this day all the disciples of Kolhatkar Sir come together to commemorate his preaching and to seek his blessing by contributing to the field of Ayurveda.

There are two lectures arranged by the VVMVK Ayurveda Pratishthana on this day. One of the lectures is delivered by a senior speaker who belongs to a different tradition other than that of Kolhatkar Sir. The emphasis here is on the exchange of thoughts and viewpoints with these experts and the expectation is that the speaker delivers a fraction of his mastery with the students. The second lecture is delivered by a comparatively amateur speaker who belongs to the Kolhatkar tradition. This lecture serves as a platform for him to share his thoughts and to receive recognition for his work and contribution.

Our guru, Vd. M. V. Kolhatkar, strived hard throughout his life for the upliftment of Ayurveda and for the betterment of his students. Thus, this is a perfect tribute to the revolutionary who ignited a passion for learning Ayurveda in numerous students and completely changed how they viewed it.
