Quiz Competition

The Annual Quiz is probably the most awaited and anticipated event organized by Kolhatkar Pratishthan every year.

The First edition of the Quiz was organized in 2011 and has since seen a rousing response among students all over Maharashtra. Every year more than a 100 students from all over Maharashtra compete for the prestigious Award. This competition has played a vital role in developing many budding Vaidyas over the past few years. Besides the obvious academic benefits of expanding a student’s knowledge and exploring new skills at an early age, quizzes redefine the education system in significant ways:

* Interactive platform: The quiz is more than just the prizes and certificates.It provides an interactive platform for the students to enhance their knowledge and seek opportunities to excel beyond academics.

* Changes scope of learning: Since questions are based exclusively on basic texts  and require critical thinking and extensive grantha abhyas, students get into the habit of practical and innovative learning from an early age.

* Encourages team work: Students need to form teams while participating in quizzes, giving them an opportunity to hone their collaboration skills.

* Bridges academia-Vaidya gap: During these competitions, emphasis remains on inculcating a  practical approach and developing students towards tackling challenges in every day practice.

Here, Senior Vaidyas have been playing a vital role by giving students much needed exposure, through these quizzes. In the year 2018, Kolhatkar Pratishthan organized a quiz competetion for Vaidyas, the first of its kind, held anywhere in India. More than 50 practicing vaidyas and academicians participated in this competition making it a great success.
